Testimonials:
"Thank you for teaching us that super fun and sassy choreography. It was a lot of fun working it out and performing it in such a short span of time. I don't think I've had so much fun performing ever! Thank you for making what I thought might be a bit scary and a lot challenging into something I know I can do." - Sarah Holloway
"Hi Cera!
I just wanted to take a moment & thank you for being a great teacher & inspiration. I've gotten so much out of the workshops I've taken w/you & appreciate how you encourage us to expand & push ourselves.I'm too much in my head & too concerned about whether it's "belly dance" enough, lol!
Hearing your views & perspectives on this art really helped me gain some clarity. I've been reluctant to use the music that really moves me b/c it seems too personal or not "fun" enough.
A perfect example, Rihanna's "Rehab". I've loved this song & it's had personal meaning for me, but I've wussed out of performing to it.
Your performance to "Stay" was so beautiful & inspiring. It made me realize I didn't always have to go the fun route. The fear of boring the audience has always moved me away from songs I would, otherwise, want to perform.
My long winded point, I performed to "Rehab" last night & actually enjoyed myself. It's been the first performance I've had in a while where I wasn't just stressed or crazy disappointed. I just let it be I just really enjoyed moving & sharing it w/the audience.
I've identified the rough patches of the performance & other areas of improvement, along w/some positives. I really enjoyed going through it & am excited to apply what I've learned. I've been so disappointed in some of my performances, I haven't watched them or if I do, I end up walking away thinking it all sucked. I've been stuck for months & I feel like maybe I've FINALLY gotten over this speed bump.
Sorry for the long message. I just wanted to thank you for being a great teacher & for inspiring me.
It feels so good to be "unstuck"!
